Take a ride through the rolling hills and vineyards of Northern California! Toban was one of the original tracks in the rFactor series, used as the test track for multiplayer before it’s official release in 2005. This has been one of the most requested tracks, so we knew that we’d have to do something special with this one to turn it into a modern version of the gem everyone remembers. Our Toban Raceway Park release has seven configurations on six layouts:Long / Long 24 Hours – 2.5 mile roadcourseThe long configuration is a real rollercoaster track, with only a few heavy braking areas to interrupt the flow. Tricky and technical, this should be a favorite layout. Most modern high-downforce cars will find themselves trying to take turns flat-out, as it dares you to live life on the edge. Be careful though, as a simple mistake in running wide will almost always put you into the wall… The 24hr configuration has more lights and no trackside cones.Long Reverse – 2.5 mile roadcourseThe same layout as the Long version, only reversed, it feels way more technical and like you have less space to race this way around.Medium – 1.9 mile roadcourseThe medium layout flows wonderfully, with just one slow section towards the end of the lap. Very fast in a high-downforce car, you’ll have to carefully thread the needle and avoid running wide.Medium Reverse – 1.9 mile roadcourseCars can feel a little more speed restricted in the reverse direction of the Medium layout, mainly because of where the elevation changes occur. There is one extremely fast sweeping downhill section though that should really whiten your knuckles!Short – 1.6 mile roadcourseTight, technical and much slower than the other layouts, this is ideal for touring cars or similar series when you’re not afraid to be door to door with competitors!Short Reverse – 1.6 mile roadcourseFeels a little faster, less technical and more open than the regular configuration, but still very much suited to the slower cars.
